Day 1 from the Metals Investor Forum, Vancouver

By Liam Hardy

Despite the pouring rain, day one of the Metals Investor Forum at the Georgia Hotel in Downtown Vancouver was a successful and well attended affair, Matt Bennett and the team have done a great job attracting a wide variety of interest from all sectors.

The positivity and optimism in the room was infectious with geos, investors and reps alike enjoying the talks and presentations, looking forward to what should be a fantastic 2018.

Most people’s lip service was offered to gold. All things gold, with some beautiful fresh core on display. Highlight of the rock sample scene was Azimut Exploration’s 1500g/t mineralised pegmatite sample, geologically a resource model breaker and definitely worth following as they work through the deposit.

Azimut were closely followed by Golden Predator with some beautiful polished samples from their surface exposed Yukon projects.

We’ll follow up with a full review later in the week, but here’s a little set of photos to whet your appetite. The day kicks off at 8:45 today and we’ll be there sharp to hear the latest from a great set of companies.
