Green Battery Minerals Inc. is a critical mineral exploration company focused on developing its graphite and lithium assets in Quebec, Canada to help meet the exploding but underserved demand for battery materials. Our name reflects the company’s strategic focus on working towards supplying critical elements for the lithium-ion battery market that has been produced in a clean and environmentally safe manner, a philosophy and core approach reflected in our corporate governance.
The company is currently operating multiple mineral exploration projects in the mining-friendly jurisdiction of Quebec within relatively close proximity to one another. The projects leverage excellent infrastructure, easy access via forest roads and rich local resource networks. Green Battery Mineral’s flagship Berkwood Graphite project near the Manicouagan regional county municipality in Quebec hosts surface-level graphite mineralization and some of the richest graphite quality in the world. Metallurgical testing on the asset has produced 97.8 percent grades from extraction and determined the host ore has minimal pollutants that could limit graphite yield.
Berkwood Graphite Project
The Berkwood Graphite Project is immediately adjacent to Nouveau Monde’s (NYSE-NMG)$3.6 Billion NPV Uatnam Graphite Mining Project and is likely part of the same geological structure, especially since the grades and metallurgy of both companies graphite is similar. Over the past 6 years the Berkwood Project has been drilled numerous times and has a proven resource of 3.2 million tonnes of indicated and inferred, as per our 43-101 resource report. The average grade of the graphite is 17% with 75-80 percent of the graphite testing large to jumbo sized flakes, which sell for a premium. This resource estimate should be easy to expand as to date only approx 10 % of the properties have been drilled. The Company has numerous other properties with outcropping graphite that have tested as high as 48% graphite. Follow up drilling is planned on these properties to expand the resource estimate.
