Podcast: Advice for future mining entrepreneurs from Keith Barron of Aurania Resources.

March 20, 2019

The Dig Deep mining podcast is produced by Rob Tyson, an experienced mining recruiter/head-hunter with over 10 years in the mining industry. Rob’s mission for his podcast is to discuss, educate and talk about mining industry news and hot topics.

In this episode Rob talks to mining entrepreneur Keith Barron of Aurania Resources, famous for their Cities of Gold project in Ecuador, hunting for the lost gold mines of the conquistadores. Keith takes us through his career, how he moved through university, working for other companies and developing his own projects.

Keith’s career advice for those struggling to make a headway in the industry includes ensuring you’re prepared to travel, not being afraid of taking on new language skills: “You have to make yourself marketable…willing to go almost anywhere and do any job… not to be frightened about languages and cultures.”
