Tia Borden from MiningIR spoke with CEO of Cassiar Gold, Marco Roque, on their gold property located in the Cassiar Mining District in British Columbia, Canada.
Cassiar Gold Corp. is a Canadian exploration company focused on the exploration of its two gold projects in British Columbia — the Cassiar Gold and the Sheep Creek Gold projects. Both are orogenic gold projects, similar to the Barkerville District of central British Columbia.
The Cassiar Gold project is a large orogenic gold property located in the Cassiar Mining District of Northern British Columbia. The project has upside potential for both bulk-tonnage resources in the Cassiar North area and high-grade gold targets in the Cassiar South area.
At Cassiar North, there is an NI43-101-compliant resource estimate of 1.4 Moz gold at 1.14 g/t gold at the Taurus bulk-tonnage gold deposit. The Cassiar South project area hosts several past-producing high-grade gold mines that targeted high-grade quartz vein mineralization grading between 10-20 g/t gold. Past production from the property is estimated to be +350,000 oz gold, with most of it extracted from the high-grade quartz veins.
