LONDON, May 9 (MiningIR) –  Maverick Gold and Silver is moving aggressively to establish itself as an emerging precious metals exploration company with a sharpened strategy, experienced leadership team and active exploration programs across Nevada and British Columbia.

In a recent Agoracom interview, founder George Tsiolis sat down with Maverick President, CEO and Director Glen Watson to discuss the company’s rebrand, exploration strategy and growing momentum in the gold and silver sector.

When An All-Star Team Builds A Three-Project Precious Metals Strategy

The transition from Supreme Critical Metals to Maverick Gold and Silver reflects a decisive shift toward what Watson says is the team’s true expertise.

“We’ve all generally as a group been gold and silver explorers and that’s our passion,” Watson said. “That was my focus on joining the company — to get on the silver and gold bandwagon.”

The company now controls three key assets: Silver Vista in British Columbia, along with the Jericho and Gator projects in Nevada. Together, the projects provide exposure to two premier mining jurisdictions at a time when investor interest in gold and silver continues to strengthen.

Tsiolis highlighted the significance of Maverick assembling an experienced leadership and geological team, including veteran geologist Ian Foreman as Vice President of Exploration and former Scotiabank mining executive Peter Baxter as Senior Adviser.

“When really good people with track records spanning decades join your team,” Tsiolis said, “that says a lot about your stable of properties.”

Watson emphasized the importance of having technical leaders capable of moving projects quickly while clearly communicating exploration potential to investors.

“Peter brings an insight — he’s a book of knowledge about Nevada,” Watson explained. “Ian is so enthusiastic and delivers the message in a concise, clear, simplistic method. They’re a fantastic team.”

Silver Vista remains a central focus for the company. Located in British Columbia’s prolific Lake Babine region, the project is a sediment-hosted silver-copper system that Watson believes could have significant scale potential.

“When we hit a good hole, these sedimentary-hosted deposits worldwide represent some of the largest silver-copper properties,” Watson said. “Silver Vista could be a very robust type of deposit — very large and expansive.”

The company is currently advancing permitting and preparing for a planned drill campaign later this year.

In Nevada, Jericho is attracting growing attention as an underexplored epithermal silver-gold vein system located north of Las Vegas. Watson described the project as visually compelling and straightforward from an exploration perspective.

“It’s visible. It’s right in your face and sticking out of the ground several metres,” he said. “We think there’s lots of opportunity for expansion.”

At Gator, near Battle Mountain, Maverick is pursuing what it believes could be a large disseminated gold system with district-scale potential.

“These are large, robust deposits,” Watson said. “If we confirm the next couple of holes, the expectation is it’ll be substantial.”

One of the strongest takeaways from the interview was Maverick’s strategy of advancing multiple high-quality projects simultaneously while remaining disciplined with capital allocation.

“We want to return value and we don’t want to appear reckless with our funds,” Watson said. “We’re going to have to define one project here, but I’m confident all three are going to be exciting.”

Tsiolis noted that many junior mining companies struggle to generate momentum on even one project, while Maverick appears to have several potential catalysts developing at once.

“You’ve got three horses that are racing,” Tsiolis said. “You’re just trying to figure out which one has the most gas in the tank.”

Looking ahead, Watson expects steady news flow through the remainder of the year as exploration programs advance and drill targets are refined. The company is also increasing investor outreach with meetings planned in London, Montreal and Toronto.

“We are undervalued in our estimation,” Watson said. “The market is unaware. We’ve just got to get out there and create the awareness.”

For investors seeking exposure to an emerging precious metals explorer with multiple active projects, strong leadership and significant exploration upside, Maverick Gold and Silver is positioning itself as a company to watch in 2026.
