Golden Cariboo Resources outlines plans to expand its gold resource in British Columbia’s historic Cariboo Gold District
In this segment with The Ellis Martin Report and Money Talk Radio, Ellis Martin sits down with Frank Callaghan, President and CEO of Golden Cariboo Resources Ltd. (CSE: GCC | OTC: GCCFF | FSE: 3TZ), to discuss the company’s inaugural mineral resource estimate, ongoing exploration activities, and plans to expand its gold resources at the Quesnelle Gold Quartz Mine Property in British Columbia’s historic Cariboo Gold District.
Frank Callaghan, President and CEO of Golden Cariboo Resources Ltd. “We have a resource foundation. Now comes the exciting part: putting the drill bit to work to see how much more this district can deliver.”
Callaghan, whose background includes Barkerville Gold Mines, says the geological team persuaded him to return from retirement. He reports 34 holes drilled and 30 reported, with 24 holes used in the inaugural resource estimate.

Maiden Resource Establishes Foundation for Growth
The estimate outlines approximately 178,000 gold-equivalent ounces in the Indicated category and 1.01 million gold-equivalent ounces in the Inferred category. The approximately 1.19 million gold-equivalent ounces cited in the headline is the arithmetic total of these separate categories, not a single NI 43-101 resource classification. Inferred resources have lower geological confidence than Indicated resources.

At the time of the interview, Callaghan says two rigs were on site, with drilling expected to resume shortly. Plans include infill drilling aimed at upgrading Inferred resources to Indicated and 100-metre step-outs to test extensions. He describes an ambition to reach two million ounces by the end of the following year and potentially upgrade the existing Inferred resource within about 12 months. These are forward-looking management objectives; achievement and category upgrades are not assured.
Infrastructure and District Potential
Near Hixon, British Columbia, the Quesnelle property benefits from nearby communities, airports, highway access and electrical infrastructure. Callaghan places the project approximately four kilometres from the highway and says mineralization extends to bedrock beneath the overburden. These features could aid exploration logistics; they do not establish mine readiness or economic viability.
Callaghan says the company staked roughly 90,000 additional hectares around an intrusive body after its discovery work. He sees potential on the opposite side of that intrusion, where historic placer activity has received comparatively little hard-rock exploration. Airborne geophysics and LiDAR surveys were being considered for the month following the interview.
The discussion also covers gold prices, currency effects and junior-mining financing. For investors following Golden Cariboo, drill results, survey findings and future technical evaluations will be key milestones in testing the company’s expansion ambitions.
