SSR Mining’s Roxmore Acquisition Highlights Nevada’s Gold Potential
On October 13, 2026, SSR Mining announced an agreement to acquire Roxmore Resources in a transaction valued at approximately US$464 million, securing Roxmore’s flagship Converse Gold Project in Nevada.
Converse, situated approximately six kilometres from SSR Mining’s Marigold Complex, hosts a substantial gold resource and represents a strategic addition to SSR Mining’s Nevada operations.

The proposed acquisition underscores continued interest from established producers in large-scale gold assets located within proven mining districts.
For junior explorers such as Maverick Gold & Silver, the transaction provides important regional context for exploration opportunities along the Battle Mountain-Eureka Trend.
Maverick Gold & Silver Focuses on the Gator Gold Project
Maverick’s Gator Gold Project is positioned within one of Nevada’s most productive gold exploration regions, where geological structures and favourable host rocks have supported numerous significant discoveries.
The property lies approximately 36 kilometres southwest of Nevada Gold Mines’ Phoenix operation and 19 kilometres west-southwest of the Cove-McCoy deposit.
Gator’s geological setting includes prospective sedimentary formations and exploration targets that Maverick is evaluating for potential gold mineralization.

While regional comparisons provide valuable geological context, further drilling will be required to establish the extent, continuity and economic significance of mineralization at Gator.
Preparing for the Next Phase of Exploration
Maverick is moving from exploration planning toward drill execution at Gator.
With the drill locations established and BLM approval in place, the Company is actively seeking drilling contractors in preparation for the upcoming program.
The approved two-year exploration authorization provides flexibility to conduct multiple drill holes from eight designated drill pads, allowing Maverick to systematically test its priority targets.
Drilling is anticipated to commence in the near term, subject to contractor availability and final operational arrangements.
