A Decade of Purpose and Impact

To mark its 10-year milestone, CTMF 2025 will highlight the foundational role of the SME Foundation in supporting education, outreach, and sustainability in the mining sector.

Alan Oshiki , one of the event’s founding co chairs, reflect, “When we launched CTMF in 2013, our goal was to create a forum that bridged finance and technical disciplines. Over the years, we’ve grown into a globally recognized event that helps drive critical conversations and decisions about risk, capital flows, ESG standards, and value creation.”

Tim Alch, longtime advisor, co chair and SME Foundation supporter, adds, “CTMF’s success is a reflection of SME’s broader mission: to educate, connect, and empower professionals in mining. We’re not just looking at the market today — we’re helping shape the next generation of leaders and ideas.”
